Travelogie Learn from Locals Booked via AI Agents

Created by team Travelogie on September 21, 2025

With many travelers staying places longer- ie- digital nomads, gap year, remote workers, etc- they want to better assimilate and understand the local culture while having more meaningful experiences. A large secondary market of tourism exists in several countries of localized, personal tour guides that is not currently online in any central booking platform. Mostly travelers connect with these types of cultural experience and tour makers by word of mouth or by hotel referrals. While some of these tours can be amazing, there are also many safety and potential scam issues that arise for both travelers and locals who are giving tours because there is no central booking system. What I have been working on is a central booking system that connects travelers with locals so they can learn more about the authentic culture based on the traveler's interests while providing service provider and user feedback to improve price transparency, fair labor standards and overall positive experiences. Using a app powered by a system of AI agents, Travelogie helps travelers cultivate a personalized itinerary based on their interests (ie- music, sports, culture, tech, art, theater, nature) and local experiences (not just main tourist attractions). Many people would rather tailor their own personalized tours to find local scenes they are into. In several global markets, this not only is more appealing for travelers, but it can also be more cost effective and support locals rather than big companies. Rather than tourism being exploitative to local economies, this can add back into communities while creating an upside for Travelogie. While GPT, Claude, DeepSeek, Perplexity, etc- all provide tourism lists- these lists do not populate with photos and each link has to be further researched- which actually does not simplify the booking process- it just gives extra links to research. Our platform lets users select from a check list, finalize and then checkout seamlessly.

"This is a very original idea that fills a clear gap in today’s market. The use of AI agents for booking is innovative, and the presentation was clear and easy to follow. The business strategy and GTM plan are strong, but the project does not currently use Coral, and including a system architecture overview would make the technical approach more complete."

"Great presentation, and the idea is trying to solve real-world travel-problem. The AI application in this idea is limited to translating user intent to generating recommendations of what are available options in that area. Helping with end-to-end travel-user journey will generate business value and create moat."

"Value Proposition: The value proposition was clearly explained and supported with projected earnings, which helped in understanding the potential business impact along with the competitive comparison. Architecture Explanation: The architecture of the solution was not explained. Including an overview of the technical design would provide better context for how the solution is structured and functions. Deployment Approach: The team used Lovable for deployment, but this was mentioned without sufficient detail. Expanding on why this approach was chosen and how it supports scalability/reliability would strengthen the narrative. Protocol & API Integration: The presentation did not clearly outline the adoption of the CORAL protocol along with the AI/ML API integration. Highlighting these aspects explicitly would showcase alignment with required guidelines and add to the technical depth."

"Great concept with strong real-world relevance, especially for digital nomads and long-term travelers seeking authentic cultural experiences. The idea of connecting travelers with locals while ensuring safety, transparency, and fair labor standards is impactful. The demo showcase is perfect. Great project."
