The challenge in this hackathon is to create AI-powered plugins for various digital platforms using AI21's API (both Jurassic-2 models API and Task-Specific API).
The goal is to enhance user experience and demonstrate how AI can be integrated into everyday digital tasks within existing third-party products and services (for example: Chrome extensions, Shopify plugin, Slack bot, etc.)
Additionally, all finalists will receive the special lablab certificates, swag, and will be promoted on our channels.

The LangChain library has been developed to assist developers in building applications that combine LLMs with other technologies, allowing them to create truly intelligent and innovative products.
Redis is a real-time data platform that functions as a blazing fast vector database, ML feature store, and data serving layer across a variety of workloads.
Stable Diffusion is a latent text-to-image diffusion model capable of generating stylized and photo-realistic images.
Whisper is a powerful speech recognition and translation model trained on 680,000 hours of multilingual data. It uses an encoder-decoder architecture to convert audio into text and it also supports language identification, phrase-level timestamps, and multilingual transcription.
DALL-E 2 is a 3.5B parameter generative language model that creates images from sentences. Its images are 4x better in resolution than its predecessor, with human judges preferring it to DALL-E 70% of the time.
The YOLOv7 algorithm is a big advancement in the field of computer vision and machine learning. It is more accurate and faster than any other object detection models or YOLO versions.

The hackathon starts on June 28th and ends on July 7th. During the event, you'll have the opportunity to learn from AI21 Labs and lablab experts during workshops, keynotes, and mentoring sessions. The hackathon will take place on the lablab.ai platform.
Previous experience in AI is not required but welcomed. While many participants are industry experts, we also welcome people with other types of domain knowledge that want to understand & explore how AI can be used in their fields.

If you donβt have a team you will be able to match and team up with other participants around the world. Finding & creating teams can be done from the dashboard you can access after you enroll. We also recommend checking our Discord server to find teammates and discuss ideas. You can join it here
The hackathon will take place online on lablab.ai platform and lablab.ai Discord Server. Please register for both in order to participate. To participate click the "Enroll" button at the bottom of the page and read our Hackathon Guidelines.

We welcome domain experts from all industries, not just AI or tech. Successful AI solutions require a combination of technical expertise and domain knowledge. Coding experience is recommended.
Nope! We welcome people with diverse backgrounds and skill sets to contribute to the project. Whether you have technical or non-technical experience, you're invited to join us. For those new to AI, we offer plenty of beginner-friendly tutorials that you can use to learn and get started with AI during the Hackathon.
You are welcome to join as a team or solo. If solo, we still encourage you to look for a team before the event, but ultimately it is your choice. We recommend you to join the lablabai Discord server and posting in the dedicated looking for team channel to get to know your potential future team members.
Once the results are announced, organizers will contact the winning teams to gather delivery details. You'll be able to choose if the prize goes to the team or is split among members.
Please note, it might take us up to 90 days to distribute the prizes, and we'll work to get them to you as quickly as possible! Your innovation deserves celebration, and we're here to make that happen! π
It is recommended. At least one team member should have a Github account. You can create one for free if you don't already have one. We have recorded a 5-min guide for beginners on creating a GitHub account, feel free to check it out!
