Along with our partners, we strongly believe in supporting education and academic endeavors. As such, Google Cloud offers free credits to students, educators, and educational institutions. These credits can be used to access the Google Cloud Platform, enabling students and researchers to explore the power of AI in their projects
We recognize the vital role that researchers play in advancing the field of AI. To encourage their valuable contributions, Google Cloud provides free credits specifically tailored for researchers. These credits can be utilized to access the Google Cloud Platform for data analysis, model training, and other research-related tasks.
Apply to Access Google Cloud AI Models
Priority is given to lablab.ai community members who submitted solutions in previous Hackathons. There are limited slots available, so act fast! You will receive all necessary information via email prior to the event.
The challenge is to develop an MVP of a product that leverages the power of Google Cloud Vertex AI model to solve real-world problems. To participate in the hackathon, you need to create or join a team on the lablab platform.
Teams will be given a weekend to develop their projects, at the end of which, they will have to deliver a working prototype of their project that others can use online, a video presentation of their project, and a pitch deck.

Get ready for an exciting week of learning, building and connecting with others during the Google Cloud Vertex AI Hackathon.
The hackathon will take place from July 7 till July 10. Over two days, you will gain unique insight from mentors, and engage in workshops, and other sessions with lablab pros. The hackathon will take place on the lablab.ai platform and lablab.ai Discord server.
Everyone is welcome to participate, regardless of previous AI or coding experience! We encourage anyone with a passion for AI or an interest in exploring how it can be used in their field to join.
If you don't have a team, don't worry! You can connect with other participants from all over the world on our dashboard or Discord server. We also recommend checking out our Discord server to find teammates and bounce around ideas. You can join the server here
The hackathon will take place online on lablab.ai platform and lablab.ai Discord Server. Please register for both in order to participate. To participate click the "Enroll" button at the bottom of the page and read our Hackathon Guidelines and Getting Started Guide.
To get ready for the hackathon, visit our AI Tech pages and read up on all the available technologies. You can also check out our tutorials page for more information on how to use them. Get a head start on your project by using the resources on lablab.ai!

We welcome domain experts from all industries, not just AI or tech. Successful AI solutions require a combination of technical expertise and domain knowledge. Coding experience is recommended.
You are welcome to join as a team or solo. If solo, we still encourage you to look for a team before the event, but ultimately it is your choice. We recommend you to join the lablabai Discord server and posting in the dedicated looking for team channel to get to know your potential future team members.
It is recommended. At least one team member should have a Github account. You can create one for free if you don't already have one. We have recorded a 5-min guide for beginners on creating a GitHub account, feel free to check it out!
