      Hackathon FAQ

      Who can join the Hackathon?

We welcome domain experts from all industries, not just AI or tech. Successful AI solutions require a combination of technical expertise and domain knowledge such as business, marketing, and other areas. Coding experience is recommended; however, if you don't have any, our intuitive platform lets you find others that do, to form teams with.

Do I need AI or coding experience to participate in the Hackathon?

Nope! We welcome people with diverse backgrounds and skill sets to contribute to the project. Whether you have technical or non-technical experience, you're invited to join us. For those new to AI, we offer plenty of beginner-friendly tutorials that you can use to learn and get started with AI during the Hackathon.

      What is an AI agent?

An AI agent is a software program that uses artificial intelligence techniques, such as machine learning and natural language processing, to perform a specific task or a set of tasks. It can operate independently or collaborate with humans to achieve a common goal. Put simply, it's an intelligent program that can think and act on its own to complete a task.

What is an example of an AI agent?

A virtual personal voice AI such as Siriยฎ, Alexa or Google Assistant is a great example of an AI agent. These assistants use natural language processing to comprehend requests and complete tasks like setting reminders, making phone calls, sending messages, and answering questions.

They work independently, improving their performance over time with AI algorithms. Chatbots are another example of AI agents that can provide customer service and support through conversation.

      Do I need a team?

You are welcome to join as a team or solo. If solo, we still encourage you to look for a team before the event, but ultimately it is your choice. We recommend you to join the lablabai Discord server and posting in the dedicated looking for team channel to get to know your potential future team members.

Do I need a Github account?

It is recommended. At least one team member should have a Github account. You can create one for free if you don't already have one. We have recorded a 5-min guide for beginners on creating a GitHub account, feel free to check it out!

      I have other questions.

Feel free to reach us on social media, or through our Discord server.
