The AI Medical Assistant is an ambitious project aiming to bridge the gap between initial health inquiry and professional medical resources by providing an intelligent, secure, and user-friendly digital platform. The central concept revolves around leveraging the power of large language models, specifically Google Gemini (gemini-2.5-flash) and OpenAI GPT, to offer natural language health consultations with real-time streaming responses. This core feature is designed to provide immediate, informational guidance on health concerns, acting as a sophisticated symptom checker and resource navigator. Beyond the conversational AI, the application is a full-fledged health management system. Users can meticulously log and monitor symptoms over time using the Symptom Tracking module and securely manage future healthcare interactions through integrated Appointment Management. A comprehensive, secure Medical History profile allows users to maintain critical data on chronic conditions, medications, allergies, and family history. This data is protected by Supabase Row Level Security (RLS), adhering to key security practices for sensitive health information. The platform prioritizes user data privacy and responsive design across all devices.
