Guardian is a multi-agent research fraud detection system built on Complete.dev. Four specialist AI agents — Statistical, Citation, Methodology, and Paper Mill — analyze every manuscript in parallel and return a single evidence-backed verdict: CRITICAL, FLAGGED, or COMPLIANT. Each finding references a documented retraction case. Identical standard deviations flag the Diederik Stapel pattern. P-value clustering flags Brian Wansink. Missing ethics approval flags Joachim Boldt. Tortured phrases flag paper mill origin. Guardian is the first automated system to ship paper mill detection. Morressier — the nearest competitor — publicly admitted in July 2023 their tool is still in development. Built entirely on Complete.dev using the Agent Builder. Live demo at maatonly.netlify.app.
