Talking Notes

Talking Notes is a Chrome Extension that brings the powers of AI and NLP to Google Keep, a popular note-taking platform, with the help of AI21 Labs' Jurassic-2 Ultra model. It allows for better text search, conversational queries and autonomously generated text. This easy to use Chrome extension scrapes Google Keep and pairs it up with user queries. After passing the data to AI21's API, the answers are displayed to the user. While vanilla Google Keep works on simple regular-expression based searches, Talking Notes uses embedded text and provides more relevant results. We aimed at removing one particularly big flaw in Google Keep, that is, not being able to find notes if you do not remember exact keywords or phrases from the note. This makes it very easy for the user to get lost in loads of information. Talking Notes mitigates this limitation with the help of AI. The J-2 models use the notes as a context and provide answers to questions, search questions, etc. We can also instruct the extension to do more comprehensive tasks such as text generation and contextual suggestions. You can also initiate a conversation with your notes, in essence, giving them a mind of their own. Thus the name, "Talking Notes."
