About AI Alliance

AI Alliance is a coalition of leading organizations committed to advancing open, responsible, and collaborative AI. Their mission is to ensure AI innovation remains accessible and beneficial to all—through open-source tooling, research, infrastructure, and global cooperation.

By supporting this hackathon, AI Alliance empowers the community to explore what’s next for AI agents—from local-first deployments to enterprise-grade workflows and multilingual systems.

Challenge

Build intelligent AI agents that can run locally, adapt to context, and collaborate across workflows.

This hackathon challenges you to rethink what’s possible with AI agents—beyond chatbots. You’ll explore how agents can reason, collaborate, and operate autonomously in complex environments, both online and on-device. Whether you’re building for enterprise workflows, local devices, or multilingual users, your agent should be practical, modular, and impactful.

💡 Core Focus Areas:

🧠 Broad AI Agents

Explore general-purpose or task-specific agents that can reason, act, and adapt based on their environment. Think beyond chat—build systems that do.

🔓 Open Source

All solutions should prioritize openness—use open models, frameworks, or tools that others can build upon, remix, or contribute to.

📚 Context Engineering

Make your agent smarter with memory and state handling. Can it keep track of what happened before? Does it behave differently based on evolving context?

🔌 MCP (Model Context Protocol)

While no longer brand-new, MCP is still key to agent-to-tool interaction. Use it to create modular agents that can call external functions or plug into existing systems.

💻 On-Device Agents

Explore local inference. Build agents that run directly on laptops, edge devices, or mobile—keeping data private and interactions fast.

🏢 Enterprise Workflow Integration

Apply agent logic to real business use cases—automate tasks, process data, or make decisions in sales, HR, logistics, support, etc.

🌍 Agents in Local Languages

Move beyond English—build agents that understand and respond in local or low-resource languages to broaden access and utility.

🤖 Multi-Agent Collaboration

Design systems where multiple agents interact, share tasks, and coordinate intelligently to solve more complex challenges.

Suggested Technologies

Llama 4

Llama 4 is Meta’s new open-weight model with MoE routing, multimodal input, and record 10M-token context windows, positioned as an open alternative to closed frontier models.

Together AI

Together AI is AI cloud platform which drives AI innovation. It contributes to open-source research, empowering developers to deploy AI models.
