Reimbursely

Reimbursely is an intelligent reimbursement auditing agent designed to eliminate the slow and error-prone manual process of verifying expense claims. Today, finance teams spend hours reading reimbursement emails, checking claim forms line by line, zooming into blurry receipt screenshots, and cross-matching information just to confirm a single submission. Reimbursely automates this entire workflow end-to-end. Using Python with IBM’s Agent Development Kit and orchestrated through IBM watsonx Orchestrate, the agent securely connects to Gmail, retrieves reimbursement-related emails, and downloads all attached claim forms and receipts. Google Cloud Platform handles authentication, email retrieval, and OCR processing—converting unstructured receipt images into structured, readable data. The agent extracts key fields such as dates, merchants, amounts, and line-item details from both forms and receipts. It automatically cross-checks every value, applies organization policies, and categorizes each claim as Approved, Flagged, or Rejected. A consolidated audit summary is then generated for clean, transparent review. Reimbursely transforms a full day of manual verification into seconds. It improves accuracy, reduces fraud risk, and frees finance teams to focus on strategic work instead of repetitive administrative tasks.
