When someone dies, settling their estate is brutal back-office work. Every account lives at a different institution — banks, EPF/KWSP, insurers, brokers, registries, even digital accounts — each with its own claim procedure and required documents. Families do this manually, for months, while grieving. Estate Settlement Crew is a back-office team of four specialized agents that collaborate through Band. Intake parses the estate vault into a shared, structured case state. Asset-Discovery maps each asset to its institution and the exact settlement action and documents. The Notifier-Drafter drafts the claim letter per institution. The Reviewer checks every draft against the documents on file and escalates each missing document back into the room, pulling a human in for exactly the piece that's missing. Band is the coordination layer, not a wrapper: all four agents join one room, every handoff is a real Band message that @mentions the next agent, and the shared state travels between them. The same agent code runs over a pluggable transport — a local simulator and live Band rooms — with deterministic, unit-tested settlement policy, so a wrong answer can never change a legal requirement. An optional LLM (AI/ML API) only polishes prose, behind a deterministic fallback. Adapted from Willow, a SuperAI NEXT 2026 Top-5 project.
