Nexora – A Contact-Free Collision Avoidance Vacuum Robot. Nexora is an intelligent robotic vacuum system designed to eliminate physical collisions while maintaining efficient cleaning performance. Built in the Webots simulation environment using the e-puck robot model, it leverages proximity sensors and geometric height-based logic to distinguish small debris from real obstacles. Objects smaller than one-third of the robot’s height are treated as trash, while larger objects are safely avoided. The robot continuously scans its surroundings, calculates clearance margins, and adjusts its trajectory smoothly to ensure zero-contact navigation. A mounted camera provides real-time monitoring, and a cloud-based backend on Vultr enables remote control, telemetry tracking, logging, and scalable testing.
