AUDIAW is a free and open-source Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) built for modern music production. It allows users to record, edit, arrange, mix, and produce music using professional tools without paying for expensive software. Unlike many traditional DAWs, AUDIAW is designed to be fast, lightweight, cross-platform, and community-driven. The goal is to give creators powerful music production tools that are accessible to everyone, from beginners making their first beat to professional producers working on large projects. AUDIAW includes multi-track audio recording and editing, MIDI composition and piano roll editing, arrangement timelines with draggable clips, mixer systems with routing and automation, sample browsing, asset management, portable .audiaw project files, autosave and crash recovery systems, WAV export, live playback tools, and a modular plugin-ready architecture. The application is built using Rust for the audio engine and backend systems, React and TypeScript for the UI, and Tauri for lightweight cross-platform desktop support across Windows, macOS, and Linux. AUDIAW focuses heavily on low-latency realtime audio processing, stable and scalable architecture, fast workflow systems, responsive UI interactions, and a clean modern user experience designed to keep creators focused on creativity instead of complicated software. The project is built for music producers, beat makers, audio engineers, independent artists, and developers interested in audio technology. AUDIAW is not just a free alternative to existing DAWs β it is an attempt to build a modern, powerful, and accessible music production platform without the limitations of expensive and closed software ecosystems.
