HazardMind AI is an autonomous multi-agent disaster-intelligence platform built for the Band of Agents Hackathon. The moment a disaster is reported, five specialized AI agents collaborate through Band to deliver a complete, audit-ready situational assessment grounded entirely in real satellite imagery and live geospatial data. Orchestrator Agent creates a per-event Band room, dispatches the team, monitors the pipeline, and posts the final verdict coordinating every handoff through Band. Satellite Agent pulls live Sentinel-1 SAR and Sentinel-2 optical imagery from Copernicus, autonomously selecting the optimal sensor based on cloud cover and disaster type. It processes multi-band imagery through NDWI, NDVI, and SAR backscatter analysis to produce georeferenced classification maps and vectorized risk zones and flags its own anomalies when the data looks physically implausible. Hazard Agent cross-validates the satellite findings against GDACS and live USGS seismic data, confirming risk zones and severity across flood, earthquake, and landslide scenarios with explicit confidence scoring. Impact Agent overlays real population data with OSM infrastructure to quantify affected populations, hospitals at risk, blocked corridors, and evacuation routing with an honest zero-impact gate when there is no real threat. Report Agent compiles every finding into an interactive Mapbox dashboard with satellite overlays and risk-zone layers, plus an executive PDF with an AI-generated summary. Every agent communicates through Band confirming findings, escalating critical discoveries, and exchanging structured payloads in a fully visible discussion log. Band is the coordination layer, not a wrapper; the transcript itself is the audit trail. Built for insurers, reinsurers, NDMA class government agencies, and UN disaster-response organizations worldwide replacing slow, manual, analyst-dependent assessment with an autonomous workflow that is grounded, honest, and accountable by design.
