
Our project introduces an AI-powered HR Assistant built using IBM watsonx Orchestrate, designed to transform the way organizations handle recruitment and employee management. Traditional HR operations often involve repetitive tasks such as resume filtering, scheduling interviews, tracking employee data, issuing alerts, and managing communication. These activities consume significant time and are prone to human error. Our solution eliminates these challenges by automating end-to-end HR workflows through a smart, conversational AI agent. Using IBM watsonx Orchestrate, the system connects multiple digital skills—resume analysis, interview scheduling, employee database management, document parsing, and email automation—into one unified workflow. The agent understands natural language commands from HR personnel and performs complex actions such as screening candidates, ranking applicants, generating summary reports, updating employee records, and sending notifications. The AI HR Assistant also includes an intuitive web-based dashboard where users can upload resumes, view recommendations, monitor shortlisted candidates, manage employee profiles, and visualize HR data. All backend processes, decision-making, and workflow executions are handled by watsonx Orchestrate, ensuring scalability, accuracy, and seamless integration. By combining workflow automation, AI-driven decisioning, and IBM’s watsonx platform, our solution helps HR teams achieve more with less effort, reduce operational load, speed up hiring, and improve overall organizational efficiency.
