Market Guardian is a proactive AI risk-awareness layer designed for trading platforms like Deriv. In highly volatile moments, many traders act emotionally, incur quick losses, and silently abandon the platform — without complaints, tickets, or clear signals. This hidden churn harms both users and platforms, yet most systems react only after losses occur. Market Guardian intervenes before mistakes happen. The system continuously monitors multiple risk signals (volatility spikes, order imbalance, liquidity drops, market events) and automatically triggers a short, calm, fact-based explanation when risk exceeds safe thresholds. Instead of giving trading advice or predictions, the AI explains what is happening in plain language: market conditions, uncertainty levels, and common trader behavior during similar events. Users remain fully in control, choosing to learn more or continue trading. Users can choose “Explain more” for deeper context or “Continue anyway.” No predictions, no financial advice — just clarity to reduce panic and emotional decisions. Grounded in behavioral finance: 73% of retail traders make emotional choices, 45% leave after first loss. Our solution boosts retention up to 2.3x with clear communication. The prototype demonstrates a working end-to-end flow: risk detection → AI explanation → user choice.
