I’m Nancy “Zera” Teta Kwizera, a tech lover and creator from Rwanda. I build projects that solve real problems, like Hinga, my all-in-one platform for farmers, and smart systems like face recognition attendance and assistive AI for people with disabilities. I love learning by doing, coding in Python, JavaScript, Vue.js, React, and Flask, and creating tech that’s useful, impactful, and accessible.

The Village Memory Project is a digital knowledge-preservation system that captures and organizes the wisdom of rural communities, including farming techniques, herbal medicine, cultural practices, and local history. It stores this information in a searchable, mobile-friendly platform that works offline, ensuring access even in areas with limited internet. While the current version focuses on text and audio, future updates will include videos and photos. An AI search assistant allows users to ask questions and retrieve relevant knowledge, making traditional wisdom accessible for students, researchers, and farmers. The project preserves culture, supports education, and strengthens community identity.

Sense AI is an innovative assistive technology project aimed at breaking communication barriers and empowering individuals with disabilities. The solution combines multiple accessibility tools into a single intelligent platform. For the deaf, it offers real-time voice-to-text transcription, enabling them to follow conversations seamlessly. For the mute, it provides text-to-speech conversion, allowing them to communicate effectively in daily interactions. Beyond communication, Sense AI leverages artificial intelligence to deliver personalized support and plans to integrate IoT-based devices to assist with mobility and independence. By uniting these technologies, Sense AI creates an inclusive ecosystem that promotes accessibility, equal opportunities, and improved quality of life.
