Hackathon Challenge

Build an application that leverages Twelve Labs' video AI to provide novel insights and experiences in sports. Potential areas to explore include: performance Assessment, sports match analysis, sport events, fitness and athletics. The key is to utilize Twelve Labs' video search, classification, and text generation capabilities in an innovative way to enhance some aspect of sports - whether it's for athletes, coaches, broadcasters, or fans.

Hackathon Rules

Join lablab.ai for a 3-day Twelve Labs hackathon and innovate for sports apps. Discover all the relevant rules below.

1. Teams can consist of 1-4 members. Solo participation is allowed.

2. Submissions must leverage the Twelve Labs API and SDK. Refer to the provided starter pack to get up and running quickly.

3. External datasets and APIs are allowed, but the core video understanding capabilities must come from Twelve Labs.

4. Teams will have 3 days to build their application. All code must be developed during the event.

5. Submissions will be judged on the following criteria:

  • Technical implementation and use of Twelve Labs (40%)
  • Creativity and novelty of the sports use case (30%)
  • Impact and practicality of the solution (20%)
  • Polish of the demo and presentation (10%)

6. Each team must submit the following by the deadline:

  • Link to working application demo (deployed or video walkthrough)
  • Link to code repository
  • Short presentation explaining the problem, solution, and technologies used

7. Top 3 teams will be awarded prizes. Additional sponsor challenges may be announced.
