The project focuses on the development of an advanced metalinguistic assistant that not only translates words into the selected language, but also has the ability to recognize and process sign language. This assistant seeks to facilitate multilingual communication in real time, offering an inclusive and accessible solution for people with different linguistic abilities. To achieve this, we are using Python, taking advantage of its powerful computer vision and translation libraries. The project integrates deep learning techniques and artificial intelligence algorithms to ensure accurate translations and reliable sign language detection, marking a significant advance in human-computer interaction.
Category tags:"A useful application that utilized the technology well. There was some similarity to other tools already on the market, although the sign language functionality helps to differentiate it."

"Good job, Team Ghost! It’s awesome to see your team working on this idea because there’s still a huge demand for good applications that can translate automatically, especially text-to-speech and vice versa. Next time, please be more concise by keeping the presentation under the 5-minute mark. Good luck!"

"Strong presentation and demo video. Solution using IBM Watson with Google Translate to perform TTS/STT translations between languages, including sign language. No direct use of IBM Granite models found in github repo. Business value related to tourism could be extended to other areas. Extra points for originality for supporting sign language."
