SmartCharge AI is an autonomous, high-performance load-balancing energy broker designed to bridge the gap between volatile electrical grids, home solar arrays, and high-capacity electric vehicles. Built on a fully decoupled microservice architecture, the project utilizes a continuous asynchronous background processor that streams real-time environmental telemetry at 5-second intervals to a robust Python FastAPI backend. The core decision system acts as an explanation-first controller, continuously analyzing localized solar generation variables, shifting utility tariffs, and EV battery state of charge (SoC) parameters to switch seamlessly between Fast Charge, Eco Mode, and Paused configurations. This structure shaves peak power footprints and drives optimization. The system is paired with a highly responsive, high-tech minimalist React dashboard that showcases active SVG power gauges, smooth historical analytics charts via Recharts, and an instant human-in-the-loop override framework equipped with an autonomous 15-second safety lockout protocol.
