Agrosoko AI uses the Watson X Orchestrate platform to create a reliable, daily morning routine that runs without complicated interfaces or manual processes. ​Daily Workflow and Technology ​The system operates on a precise schedule to ensure farmers have the information before the brokers arrive: ​4:30 AM: Automated Start The system initiates the workflow. ​Data Scraping: It runs a Kamis scraper to fetch the real wholesale prices for the day. ​Weather Integration: It fetches weather data for the farmer's county, as rain or dry conditions impact prices. ​Price Calculation: The system applies a proprietary pricing formula using the market and weather data to calculate the fair farm-gate price. ​4:45 AM: Communication: It sends a straightforward WhatsApp message to the farmer with the calculated fair price, telling them, for example, that brokers should not offer less than 38 shillings per kilo for tomatoes. ​Impact and Results ​When a farmer replies "Yes" to the price message, the system instantly sends them the contact information (phone numbers) of real, ready-to-buy counterparties like hotels, wholesale buyers, and Mama Mbogas (greengrocers). This simple information and connection empowers the farmer with dignity and allows them to negotiate or sell at a fair rate. ​The impact is substantial: 200 kilos of produce that previously earned a farmer 3,000 shillings can now earn more than 7,000 shillings. This difference directly funds necessities like school fees, food, and medicine, improving the quality of life for the people who feed the nation. The entire operation is logged in Google Sheets to track what is happening.
