The backend, built with FastAPI, handles secure authentication, data persistence using SQLite, and RESTful APIs. The frontend, powered by Next.js, React, and Tailwind CSS, delivers a smooth and interactive experience. Finley allows users to: Register and log in securely using JWT authentication. Create and manage "splitters" to share expenses among group members. Track wallet balances, payments, and transaction history in real-time. Automatically save all data to the integrated finley.db database. The project demonstrates full-stack integration, modern UI/UX design, and scalable REST API architecture — making it a practical and educational showcase of finance automation using modern web technologies.
