Heimdall-Lite is a lightweight (low-footprint) security daemon designed for proactive cyber threat mitigation with highly minimal computational overhead. Created by PabloRaka and licensed under the Apache License 2.0, this project serves as a Layer-2 defense system optimized for low-spec server environments, particularly those operating behind a Cloudflare Tunnel. Unlike conventional security solutions that passively log data, Heimdall-Lite takes an active approach: it parses web and authentication logs in real-time, sends them to a remote Ollama-based LLM (Large Language Model) endpoint for intelligent behavioral analysis, and automatically triggers responses such as firewall blocking and routing modifications — all without human intervention. The name "Heimdall" is derived from Norse mythology, referring to the gatekeeper of Asgard who never sleeps. This symbolically perfectly captures the project's philosophy: ceaseless vigilance against any threat attempting to breach the infrastructure.
