NextStep AI is an innovative project developed for the AI Agent Olympics Hackathon, focused on solving one of the biggest productivity challenges faced by modern teams: turning meeting discussions into real execution. The platform uses Google Gemini’s advanced multimodal AI capabilities to transform chaotic meeting artifacts such as whiteboard photos, brainstorming notes, PDFs, screenshots, and loose discussions into a fully structured execution workflow. The idea was inspired by how many teams experience highly productive brainstorming sessions, only for the momentum to disappear afterwards due to unclear task ownership, forgotten decisions, and scattered information across multiple platforms. NextStep AI acts like an AI-powered project manager that not only summarizes meetings, but actively converts ideas into actionable plans. The platform generates an interactive task board with assigned owners, deadlines, priorities, execution readiness scores, and risk detection features. It can even draft follow-up emails and meeting communications automatically, helping teams reduce execution delays and improve coordination. Unlike traditional transcription tools that only produce passive summaries, NextStep AI focuses on execution by detecting bottlenecks, highlighting missing information, and recommending next steps intelligently. The project primarily targets startups, SMEs, student organizations, and small teams that cannot afford dedicated project managers but still require strong organization and workflow management. Through a freemium business model, NextStep AI aims to make AI-powered project execution accessible while offering premium multimodal and integration features for advanced users. Overall, the project demonstrates how multimodal AI agents can bridge the gap between discussion and execution, transforming messy collaboration into organized action.
