Inner Mirror is an empathetic, AI-powered support platform designed specifically for survivors of emotional abuse, helping them reflect, process, and take actionable steps toward healing and self-empowerment. Powered by Google’s Gemini multimodal AI models, Inner Mirror can interpret text inputs as well as images, such as journal entries or chat screenshots, and provide structured responses including empathetic validation, concise summaries, risk assessment, reflective Socratic questions, and practical action steps. The platform also generates an optional audit artifact, allowing users to safely track insights or share them with trusted counselors. With automated safety checks, escalation protocols for high-risk scenarios, and curated resource recommendations, Inner Mirror creates a private, interactive, and user-centered environment. Designed with a minimalistic, calming interface, it empowers users to better understand their experiences, explore personal boundaries, and make informed decisions, all while maintaining privacy and security. This project demonstrates how cutting-edge AI can be applied in sensitive contexts to provide scalable, accessible, and safe emotional support, bridging the gap between personal reflection and professional guidance.
