The AI-Hub project is an initiative aimed at bringing advanced AI capabilities to underserved communities, such as rural areas, remote islands, and refugee camps, by deploying standalone AI servers. These servers are powered by Ollama technology, utilizing the cutting-edge LLaMA 3.1 and LLaMA 3.2 models. This setup allows communities to access powerful AI tools without the need for high-speed internet or expensive cloud services. The AI servers use a customized version of Open WebUI, providing an intuitive interface for users to interact with the AI for a variety of purposes, including education, healthcare, agriculture, and small business support. By making AI locally accessible, the AI-Hub project empowers individuals—especially young people—to explore the possibilities of AI, fostering innovation and self-sufficiency in these regions.
