
CashCat is an AI Agent Payment OS that lets agents spend on APIs, data, software, and compute under budgets, approvals, and verifiable proofs, enabling safe autonomous economic action. We built CashCat for a simple reason: AI agents can already plan, decide, and act, but they still lack a safe financial operating layer. Today, giving an agent direct access to a card, wallet, or payment credential is risky and hard to govern. CashCat solves that by turning AI intent into controlled, auditable spend. A user gives an agent a business task. The AI planner decides whether paid resources are needed, proposes a vendor, amount, and category, and then CashCat applies budget limits, approval thresholds, and spend permissions before any action is allowed. The system produces a governed payment intent, receipt, spend proof, and a downstream workflow artifact such as a research brief, benchmark result, or operations bundle. Running on AMD cloud with open-model inference, CashCat shows how AI can move beyond recommendation into real economic action, while keeping humans in control.
