DebateMate will: - Analyse arguments for logical consistency and fallacies. - It can generate counterarguments tailored to your exact claim. - Provide neutral references to strengthen or challenge positions. - Score persuasiveness before and after objections - Flag logical fallacies The app currently offers two specialised modes: - Debate Counterattacks – Paste your claim, and DebateMate instantly structures your FOR position, highlights logical fallacies, and generates sharp counterarguments. It also suggests neutral references (currently Wikipedia) that can be used to back up or challenge claims. This gives debaters the experience of facing real opposition pressure in a safe, iterative environment. - Pitch Objections – Paste a startup pitch and receive ruthless, investor-style critique. DebateMate surfaces risks, pinpoints weak assumptions, suggests directions for quick desk research, and re-scores the persuasiveness of your pitch after objections are addressed. This feature mimics tough investor questioning and helps founders refine their narrative before the real meeting. Our vision is to expand DebateMate into a full pitch/debate simulator with richer evidence retrieval from multiple sources; objection libraries tailored by domain and much more.
