LingoBud AI tackles a common problem with language learning apps: they often feel like a chore. We've replaced tedious memorization drills with an immersive, conversational experience that makes learning feel like talking to a friend. At the core of LingoTok AI is Toki, a friendly and adaptive AI language partner powered by Google's Gemini API. Users can engage in real-time voice conversations, where the app transcribes their speech, sends it to a Gemini 2.5 Flash model for an intelligent reply, and streams back a natural-sounding audio response using Gemini TTS. Our platform accelerates vocabulary acquisition through smart, contextual features. The AI automatically identifies new words during conversations and creates flashcards in the background. Additionally, users can instantly create a flashcard for any word they don't know just by double-clicking it in a chat. To ensure long-term retention, these flashcards are integrated into a powerful Spaced Repetition System (SRS) that schedules review sessions at scientifically optimized intervals. The application is built as a production-ready web app using a modern tech stack: React, TypeScript, Vite, and Tailwind CSS for a responsive, accessible interface. We use Supabase for secure authentication, user profiles, and data persistence. LingoTok AI demonstrates a deep, multi-modal integration with the Gemini API, showcasing its capabilities for streaming text, generating structured JSON data, and creating high-quality audio on the fly.
