Smart PR is an AI-powered code review and risk analysis platform that automatically analyzes GitHub repositories and pull requests in seconds — replacing slow, manual reviews with instant, actionable insights. The platform scans codebases to detect critical issues across four dimensions: security vulnerabilities (hardcoded secrets, SQL injection, exposed credentials), performance anti-patterns (N+1 queries, memory leaks), maintainability problems (missing tests, poor error handling), and bad coding practices. Every finding comes with a severity score and a precise location in the code. What sets Smart PR apart is its deep integration with IBM Bob. Rather than simply listing errors, Smart PR uses IBM Bob to generate plain-language explanations of every detected issue, concrete before-and-after fix suggestions, automated pull request summaries, and educational feedback that helps junior developers understand risks in context — not just flag them. IBM Bob was also our core development partner throughout the build. It assisted with architecture planning, prompt engineering, debugging, and edge case detection — cutting our development time significantly and enabling a production-ready POC in under 48 hours. Built on a FastAPI backend, a deterministic rule engine, and a React dashboard powered by Tailwind CSS, Smart PR delivers a complete analysis pipeline in 10 to 20 seconds per PR.
