BobForge is an AI App Factory powered by IBM Bob that helps developers and hackathon teams move from a raw idea to a working software project faster. The user enters a simple project idea, and BobForge converts it into a complete build blueprint containing the product requirements, system architecture, database schema, API route plan, frontend page structure, test plan, deployment checklist, and a detailed IBM Bob-ready build prompt. The main goal of BobForge is to make AI-assisted development more structured and repeatable. Instead of giving IBM Bob a vague prompt, BobForge prepares a clear, detailed, software-engineering-focused instruction set that Bob can use to generate a real application. For demonstration, BobForge generates the blueprint for a Smart Attendance System, and IBM Bob uses that generated prompt to build the sample app with frontend pages, backend APIs, tests, and documentation. BobForge also includes an artifact tracker that records which files were created by IBM Bob, such as backend routes, frontend pages, test files, and README documentation. This creates traceability between the original idea, the generated blueprint, the Bob-built code, and the exported IBM Bob session reports. In short, BobForge does not only use IBM Bob as a coding assistant; it turns IBM Bob into a complete software development partner. It demonstrates how IBM Bob can support the full development lifecycle: planning, architecture, implementation, testing, documentation, refactoring, and evidence-based delivery.
