SpaceL AI is an AI-powered legal research assistant designed to reduce the time required for legal research using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Generative AI, and real court judgment analysis. Traditional legal research often requires students, advocates, and researchers to manually search through lengthy case documents and legal databases, making the process time-consuming and difficult to navigate. SpaceL AI aims to simplify this process by enabling users to ask legal questions in natural language and receive structured, evidence-backed responses grounded in real Supreme Court judgments. The system can answer legal queries such as “Bail conditions in serious offences” and “Circumstantial evidence cases” by retrieving relevant legal documents, identifying key legal reasoning, and presenting simplified explanations supported with references. SpaceL AI uses an intelligent RAG pipeline with vector search to retrieve relevant legal documents before generating responses. This helps reduce hallucinations and improves answer reliability by grounding outputs in authentic legal sources instead of producing unsupported information. The platform is designed to support multiple users including law students, legal researchers, and advocates by simplifying complex legal reasoning into understandable insights. In addition to research assistance, the system aims to improve legal accessibility and learning efficiency for users with limited legal expertise. The current MVP demonstrates AI-assisted legal search, legal reasoning support, evidence-backed answers, and student-friendly explanations through a simple and accessible interface.
