BobbyWasi is a STEM educational platform designed to inspire Peruvian children and teenagers to explore science in a fun, safe, and accessible way. Guided by Bobby, a scientist Humboldt penguin, users can access 10 carefully designed experiments using household materials. The platform implements an innovative three-level safety system (Green, Yellow, Red) that clearly indicates which experiments can be performed independently and which require adult supervision. Each experiment includes detailed step-by-step instructions, scientific explanations adapted to different levels of understanding, a materials list with alternatives, and specific safety precautions. BobbyWasi goes beyond individual experiments by connecting young scientists with a network of STEM communities and educational events throughout Peru. The community section features organizations that promote science education, from robotics clubs to mentorship programs, along with a calendar of events such as science fairs, hackathons, and olympiads. The interface uses a "Scientific Nature" design with emerald green, turquoise, and cyan colors, complemented by animated particles that evoke natural elements. The filtering system allows users to find experiments according to their skill level, while the responsive design ensures an optimal experience on any device. Built with Next.js 14, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS, BobbyWasi represents a modern and scalable solution for democratizing STEM education in Latin America, making science accessible to all children, regardless of their location or economic resources.
