
The HR Onboarding Assistant is an AI-powered solution designed to automate and streamline HR onboarding workflows. It uses a structured toolset including offer letter generation, document collection, interview scheduling, and welcome email automation to perform onboarding tasks accurately and efficiently. This project focuses on building a strict, domain-bound AI agent using orchestration tools and custom guidelines. The agent ensures safe, professional, and HR-compliant responses while refusing to answer out-of-domain questions. Multiple guidelines reinforce its behaviour, including tool validation, mandatory information checks, and professional tone rules. We created custom tools for each HR task and a large set of test cases to evaluate accuracy, message completion, and tool-trigger success. The system was iteratively refined using evaluation reports until the agent demonstrated consistent reliability across tasks. This assistant helps organizations reduce manual HR workload, improve consistency, and accelerate onboarding for new employees through an interactive chat-based experience.
