My dad is a mechanical engineer who opened an agriculture equipment shop a long time ago. He never had a customer management system or an inventory tool. What he had and still has is an honest handshake, a deep knowledge of every machine he sells, and a reputation built one farmer at a time. Farmers drive from nearby villages just because someone in their community recommended him. That kind of trust is rare, and it's worth protecting. Agrishop-pro is my way of giving his business the digital foundation it deserves - without stripping away the soul of what makes it special. What we built: For farmers, it feels like a personal assistant. They can register in minutes, browse equipment, track their orders, and check on machinery currently in service - all from their phone. We know that many farmers face real financial pressure, so we built a dedicated finance section where they can explore EMI options, government loan schemes, and apply for equipment financing directly through the app. For my dad, it is a window into his whole business. He can see live inventory, manage supplier relationships, reward his most loyal customers with special discounts, and process incoming orders all from one place. And because this business runs on recommendations, we built a full reviews and testimonials section where farmers can share their honest experiences. It's not just a star rating - it's a digital extension of the word-of-mouth community my dad has spent his career nurturing. Why this matters: Millions of small agri-businesses like my dad's operate entirely on relationships and reputation. Agrishop-pro is proof that a family business built on trust doesn't have to choose between staying personal and going modern - it can do both. This project was built using IBM Bob, IBM watsonx as our AI development partner, with a React frontend, Node.js backend, and a bold, earthy design that feels as welcoming to a first-time visitor as it does familiar to a returning customer.
