Geo-Vision is an accessibility-first geo-spatial assistant designed to empower low-vision users with clear, trustworthy awareness of their surroundings. The app uses a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipeline that collects real-time data from Google Places and Google Search, then transforms it into short, voice-optimized summaries through Gemini 2.5-Flash. Users simply enter their location and query to receive grounded, hallucination-resistant descriptions of nearby points of interest, complete with distance, direction, and contextual hints. A built-in map and optional TTS output enhance usability and independence. Geo-Vision reduces cognitive load, improves environmental safety, and makes everyday navigation more intuitive and accessible.
