About me
I am a visionary engineer, entrepreneur, and academic leader whose career bridges marine engineering, renewable energy innovation, and digital connectivity. Currently serving as Chief Marine Engineering Officer – Port Operations at Transnet NPA, I have become a driving force in advancing green hydrogen supply chains, rural electrification, and investor-ready digital solutions across Africa. My passion for technology and problem-solving was evident early in my career, particularly through hackathons. This began with a Gaming Design Hackathon, where I explored modular systems and interactive storytelling. This was followed by a Model Context Protocol Server Construction Hackathon, which showcased my expertise in server architecture, scalability, and secure connectivity. These formative experiences sharpened his ability to merge technical precision with creative design, laying the foundation for his later work in digital inclusion and rural connectivity. Currently enrolled in a course on academic integrity, research ethics, and conflict-of-interest management, he reinforces his commitment to ethical leadership in both academia and industry. Known for my structured, methodical approach to learning and professional development, I combine technical mastery with social responsibility, shaping Africa’s innovation ecosystem through sustainable energy solutions, digital equity, and strategic communication that resonates with investors, policymakers, and communities alike.
