CodeGuard is an automated security audit tool built entirely with IBM Bob as the AI development partner. It analyzes any public GitHub repository and detects critical security vulnerabilities across 5 categories: hardcoded secrets and API keys, SQL injection risks, missing authentication middleware, exposed routes without protection, and missing input validation. The tool was designed and built using IBM Bob's full repository context awareness. Bob planned the entire architecture, generated all 23 source files including 5 specialized security analyzers, the Express.js backend, and the vanilla HTML/CSS/JS frontend. Bob also debugged issues in real-time by reading and understanding the full codebase context. Key features include: GitHub repository cloning and analysis, risk scoring from 0-100, severity classification (Critical/High/Medium/Low), downloadable JSON and HTML reports, and an interactive web dashboard. In testing against real repositories, CodeGuard detected 90 security issues across 19 files with a detailed risk breakdown. This demonstrates IBM Bob's power as a true development partner — not just a code completion tool, but a system that understands project goals, architecture, and can build production-ready software from idea to deployment.
