VeriPay is an agent-to-agent payment protocol that enables AI systems to charge and pay per action using USDC on Arc. In traditional systems, charging per API call or per AI action is impractical due to high transaction costs and latency. VeriPay solves this by metering actions offchain and compressing them into a single onchain settlement. In our demo, a customer agent executes 100 actions against a provider agent, each priced at 0.001 USDC. Instead of sending 100 separate transactions, VeriPay aggregates all actions into a cryptographic action root and settles them in one transaction on Arc. The provider receives a real USDC payment, and the entire batch is verifiable through the action root and transaction data. This design enables a new economic model for AI: real-time, per-action payments between autonomous agents. APIs, compute services, and AI tools can monetize usage precisely without relying on subscriptions or centralized billing systems. VeriPay demonstrates that sub-cent agent payments are only viable on Arc due to its stablecoin-native design and low, predictable transaction costs.
