Still Alive is a proof-of-liveness protocol built on Arc that gives silence meaning on-chain. In modern, asynchronous life, inactivity is normal—but blockchains cannot distinguish between temporary absence and permanent loss. As a result, on-chain assets often remain frozen forever when their owners disappear. Still Alive introduces a simple daily check-in as a cryptographic signal of presence. As long as users check in, they retain full control of their assets. When check-ins stop, the system reacts deterministically. After a predefined warning period, emergency contacts are notified. If inactivity continues, smart contracts automatically execute asset transfers to a designated inheritance address. To make daily security sustainable, Still Alive uses x402 to aggregate and batch micro-payments, enabling low-cost subscription settlement at scale. Assets are held in a smart contract vault, rules are enforced entirely on-chain, and execution requires no intermediaries or human judgment. Still Alive demonstrates how proof of liveness can become a new primitive for long-term asset ownership in a silent world.
