The app is the perfect companion for small, one-day, or evening events. One specific use case is the dev and donuts event series hosted in Mannheim. During one of the last events, we introduced developer speed dating, which the guests were very excited about. The next step is to transform these brief interactions into meaningful connections. The app's goal is first to inform users about the event schedule and then to match them with other attendees who have similar interests. Users must fill out a survey for matching purposes. The survey focuses on questions about the attendees' hobbies and projects they enjoy, as having similarities in these areas is a great way to start a conversation. As a result of the matching, attendees receive a brief explanation of why they were matched, along with some conversation starters to help them jumpstart interesting discussions. I hope that Dev and Donuts will become more than just a tech event and help people find like-minded individuals.
