About me

Hi I'm Jessica, I did a PhD in microbiology & biotechnology at the University of Alberta, Canada, then co-founded Phage Directory (https://phage.directory/) in 2017. We coordinate treatment of antibiotic resistant infections by sourcing therapeutic viruses (phages) from a community of researchers across 80 countries (>50 patient cases so far, 3 successful treatments). We’re now scaling this up to more patients through a partnership with a medical research/hospital network in Australia, where we’re building the ‘operating system’ (information infrastructure, phage sourcing from the community, management of phage and clinical data, etc) to support phage therapy implementation Australia-wide (and eventually beyond).
