About me

I'm Gabriel Freitas (you can call me Gabs). I'm 24 years old, Brazilian living in São Paulo and currently working as an AI/ML Engineer at a German edtech startup. I'm passionate about tech and even more about AI. I have been working in software development for 3+ years (Python, C/C++), with the last 1.5 years focusing on AI — training, fine-tuning, and GenAI and RAG application development. Also currently doing an MSc degree in Computer Engineering at the University of Campinas. I had a startup once in the Smart Grid area and unfortunately, we failed successfully :) I have hands-on experience with frameworks such as LangChain, LLamaIndex, and CrewAI, as well as tools like Weights & Biases and cloud-based techs such as AWS and Heroku.
