Since I have to build a game for my class final, I decided to kill two birds with one stone by combining my final project with the hackathon theme, gamifying the learning experience of doing and learning about taxes. Built entirely in Java to meet the class requirements, the game immerses players in a quest where they must complete various tax-related tasks across different areas of the map. Each task is guided by a chatbot, which offers instructions, assistance, or directs players to other bots for further exploration, ensuring a dynamic and engaging experience. Players can also submit a tax form, with the game asking tailored questions about the form and reinforcing key concepts like tax deductions, filing, and regulations. This interactive journey transforms learning about taxes into an adventure, making it less intimidating and introducing the world of taxes to younger people in a fun and engaging way.
