The opioid epidemic continues to devastate the U.S., and its impact is exacerbated by barriers that prevent people from entering into and succeeding in treatment. We’ve identified the following key factors: Health systems aren’t equipped to provide referrals to outside addiction care, causing worse patient outcomes and more readmissions. Finding the right clinic is difficult. Clinics are now commodities, so each clinic needs a way to get patients to choose them over competitors. There’s insufficient support for people once they’re in treatment. As a result, clinics face high attrition and no-show rates among patients. Our goal is to remove barriers throughout the recovery process.
