Features:
Suggest optimal times to travel, based on traffic flows and public transport schedules.
Integrate GTFS data to provide timely and synchronized alternatives.
Indicate whether a route is preferable at a certain time using public transport, on foot, by bike or with a private vehicle.
Use Example:
"If you want to reach Piazza Duomo by 9:00, leave by 8:15 and use metro line 1, because road traffic increases by 20% after this time."
2. Environmental Awareness
Features:
Show the environmental impact of different travel options (e.g. CO₂ emitted by car vs. public transport).
Suggest eco-friendly routes, considering the air quality in different areas.
Use Example:
"Using the bus allows you to avoid an area with high levels of PM2.5, improving your environmental exposure."
3. Congestion and Delay Forecasting
Features:
Use historical and real-time traffic flow data to predict future congestion.
Analyze the probability of delays in public transport based on past schedules and data.
Use Case:
"Traffic on the eastern ring road is expected to increase between 5:30 PM and 6:30 PM. We recommend tram line 3 as an alternative."
