Free Hands is a transformative web platform created to teach Libras (Brazilian Sign Language) to deaf Brazilian children. Developed with a focus on supporting low-income families, the initiative offers an accessible, gamified, and personalized approach. Even without any prior knowledge of Libras, parents and guardians can actively engage in their children’s learning process, overcoming communication barriers and strengthening family bonds.

The platform addresses critical challenges in inclusive education in Brazil, such as the lack of appropriate teaching materials, the absence of qualified educators in public schools, and the financial difficulties faced by many families. Free Hands aims to transform this reality by creating meaningful, interactive, and educational experiences.

With personalized lesson plans, Free Hands is designed to meet the specific needs of each child and their family. To achieve this, the platform leverages the Llama 3.2 model (SambaNova Systems), an advanced artificial intelligence capable of generating tailored content. Integration with Multi-Agent Crew AI enables the creation of dynamic learning paths. Additionally, through the AI/ML API, the platform generates custom images related to lessons, providing high-quality visual resources that make learning more engaging, intuitive, and effective.

These combined tools not only personalize the content but also make learning Libras accessible and enjoyable, contributing to a rich and meaningful learning experience.
With a focus on collaborative learning, Free Hands empowers families, offers complementary support to public schools, and encourages the linguistic and social development of deaf children in a fun and interactive way. Thus, the platform not only fosters inclusion but also provides equitable and accessible education for all.
