Secure AI IPD -Redefining Healthcare Documentation

Our project is a transformative, paperless IPD system designed to revolutionize the way healthcare facilities manage patient documentation. By integrating smart pen and tablet technology, doctors can seamlessly capture handwritten patient case sheets in real time. These handwritten inputs are then processed by cutting-edge IBM Granite AI models, which convert the text with remarkable accuracy—regardless of language—into digital, machine-readable format. The system goes beyond simple transcription by automating critical clinical workflows. It automatically generates comprehensive discharge summaries by extracting key patient data from completed forms and additional text inputs. This not only reduces the administrative workload for physician assistants but also ensures consistency and completeness in patient records. Furthermore, the solution includes an AI-driven clinical error detection module that identifies and flags potential issues such as ambiguous handwriting, unclear dosage instructions, missing signatures, and drug-drug interactions. This proactive error management helps enhance patient safety and improves overall quality of care. Additionally, our system features an intelligent case summary generation tool that compiles key patient information into a concise overview. This enables healthcare professionals to quickly review a patient’s history and clinical status without having to sift through extensive documentation, thereby facilitating faster decision-making and more efficient cross-consultations.
