Turbot is an iOS app Turbot is an iOS app that helps you immerse in the context and understand the places you visit better. Think of it as a replacement for a human travel guide that walks around you and provides you with trivia about the location you are in. 

Such guides are immensely worth it, but often get too expensive, are unavailable or have the tone and expertise only in something you are not interested about. 

Because of this, we want to replicate the experience- but make it better and cheaper. Turbot uses extensive information about you to create your digital persona. A representation of what you could actually be interested in. Then, on the server side, it uses your location to create personalized messages for you. Those can be either generated by you or sent passively at times the app’s algorithm finds the most convenient. You can receive them over Whatsapp, Telegram or Push notifications. To generate these messages, Turbot uses extensive agentic logic involving ChatGPT, Perplexity, RAG searches over large database of books and PDFs. 

The best feature of Turbot, however, are voice messages, powered by ElevenLabs. Imagine walking alone through a city, only to be fed a personalized podcast about your location. Feel the buildings around you come to life with stories of past kings, events and customs of local people. Understand the current debates that people are passionate about, their cuisine and customs. 

Over time, Turbot has embedded features for iterative refinement of your messages using new techniques from representation engineering. As you use it more, it will continue generating more accurate messages.


Turbot is an AI Agent for bringing the places around you to life. It uses your location and preferences to tailor specific messages to you, enabling you to learn more about what is actually interesting to you in a particular place.
